Independence
ITSMverse is an independent project. All lessons, quizzes, starter processes, definitions and comparisons were written for it. It is not an official ITIL® product, is not endorsed by or affiliated with PeopleCert, and does not reproduce ITIL® publications, diagrams or exam material. It is not preparation for any certification exam.
Trademarks
ITIL® is a registered trademark of PeopleCert International Limited. COBIT® is a registered trademark of ISACA. ISO® is a registered trademark of the International Organization for Standardization. All other names belong to their owners. Names are used only to help visitors find and compare ideas, and links to framework owners go to their own sites for the official text.
Accuracy and review
Every guide shows when it was last checked, when the next check is due, what it was checked against and what changed. Guides that touch law, regulation or published standards are rechecked more often. Where a guide cites a source, the link goes to the owner of that standard or programme. An independent review is shown only once a named person has signed a guide off; until then the page says it is not yet recorded. Worked examples are labelled illustrative and use invented numbers. If you find an error, tell us through Feedback or at hello@itsmverse.com so it can be corrected and logged on the guide.
The general position
The guidance is general and simplified. It is a starting point for discussion, not professional, legal or audit advice. The practice list follows widely used vocabulary and may not match the latest edition of any framework one for one. For how your data is handled, see Privacy and terms.
